I am a passionate, high-energy acting coach who has dedicated my life to helping performers and speakers discover their voice, confidence, and artistic truth.
Judy holds a B.A. in Drama Studies from Purchase College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Manhattanville College—blending rigorous theatrical training with a deep understanding of how people learn, communicate, and grow.
A theater educator for over 35 years, Judy is currently the Vice President of the Brewster Theater Company. Judy is the co-founder of The Scene Stealers Production Company and served as Director of Scene Stealers Theater Boot Camp (2000–2010), where she trained young performers in technique, building confidence, and practical training in all aspects of theater production. She also spent 10 years as an Elementary School Principal, strengthening her expertise in leadership, communication, and presentation skills she now brings to both performers and professionals

Whether working with a 10-year-old stepping onstage for the first time or an adult refining their craft, Judy helps students create meaningful, fully realized characters and make powerful connections to text. She incorporates focused mind-body work, practical technique, and individualized coaching within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Experience & Expertise
Currently, Judy directs both adult and youth productions for the Brewster Theater Company in Carmel, NY, and adjudicates local theater for the Roger Rees Awards in Theater Excellence. She has extensive experience directing and guiding actors through the full rehearsal process—from auditions to closing night—with clarity, structure, and creative vision. Her recent Director’s Workshop for new and experienced directors focused on understanding the nuts and bolts of working within the structures of local theater, offering practical insight into casting, scheduling, collaboration, production timelines, and artistic leadership.
Judy’s expertise spans musical theater and drama auditions, performance, Shakespearean text, character development, and ensemble building. In addition to performance coaching, she works extensively with clients to enhance public speaking skills—helping educators, business professionals, and community leaders develop presence, vocal strength, message clarity, and authentic connection with an audience.
